Simple Things Sunday - Handprint

this week's simple thing:

My little girl's hand prints.

"Ten tiny fingers, that always want to play,
That never stop exploring that wonder of today,
Ten tiny fingers, that from the very start,
Will reach out for tomorrow yet always hold your heart."

Simple Things Sunday - Zipping it

this week's simple thing:

Zipping her coat all by herself!
In March, Nana and Poppy went to Vegas and brought C back a little zipper clip.  Who would have thought that a simple little clip would have her zipping her own coat in no time!  She is a pro now and can even zip other jackets without the clip.  Don't even try to help her or you will get a firm "I CAN DO IT!"  Such a big girl.  She is becoming so independent and sometimes it really makes me miss the days of helping her with everything.  Those days are now precious memories.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday we took Chloe to the annual Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt.  I remember when I was little attending this annual hunt.  Back in the day it was a complete free for all.  Nowadays they have sections roped off by age groups.  I am glad for this because I remember a specific egg hunt when I left crying because I didn't get a single egg:(  This is C's 3rd year attending and she has always enjoyed it.  It didn't seem like there were as many kids this year which was great for Chloe as she got a full bucket of eggs.  She also won a prize!  She was ecstatic!  YAY for more candy;)

Some of the many kids!

Ready to go!

And they are off!!

Chloe was being selective about which eggs she picked up - wanted all the pink ones of course!

Checking the eggs...

So excited about her prize basket!

This year we colored eggs with Kool-Aid!  Who would have thought?!  I saw the idea on Pinterest and thought it was BRILLIANT!  The eggs smelled SO much better than dying with vinegar - I would much rather smell Strawberry, Lemon-Lime, Grape, etc.  They turned out vibrantly colored and you don't have to wait forever for them to dye.  C loved coloring the eggs and Grandma came to help which made it even more fun!

Simple Things Sunday - Glow Sticks

this weeks simple thing:

I bought these glow sticks with intentions to do a glow in the dark egg hunt, BUT they didn't fit in the small plastic eggs:( SO when C had friend, Ava over on Friday night and they got in the bathtub I tossed those glow sticks in!  They were a HUGE hit - the girls loved them and thought they were so much fun in the tub! I wish my pictures would have turned out better but that's ok they were too busy having fun to pay any attention to me anyways!  I definitely will be buying more glow sticks in the future for more bath fun!  C has already asked me if we could have them in the tub again - "tonight mommy!"

Three Little Bunnies...

Monday I took the day off to spend with C since she was on Spring Break!  It was such a great day!  We went out to Sydney's and Addie's house to make some crafts along with Sarah and Sawyer as well.  First we attempted this project that we found on Pinterest but it ended up being a little tricky for the girls so us moms had to finish it up.  Then the girls made bunny masks which turned out ADORABLE!  And lastly the girls decorated and ate sugar cookies.  I love these little get-togethers where the kids get to play and us moms get to visit.

Working on wrapping the yarn around the a water balloon.

My little bunny!

The 3 little bunnies - Chloe, Addie and Sawyer.

Simple Things Sunday...Griddle Cookies

this week's simple thing:

Figuring out how to cook things without a stove!  Daddy made the best turkey burgers on this griddle the other night.  After dinner C really wanted to make chocolate chip cookies, and being the awesome daddy that he is, he said "lets try baking them on the griddle!  I have to say they didn't turn out half bad, a little crispy but definitely good enough to eat;)
