20 weeks!

20 weeks and feeling great other than the occassional belly button pain.  Can't wait for Chloe to be able to feel all these little kicks and punches! She asks me quite often, "what size is the baby now?" Thanks to I am getting weekly updates as to baby's size - this week a banana!  I had an ultrasound this last week and baby was measuring exactly to my due date of January 5th.  14oz and all curled up in a ball, I got to see baby open and close his/her mouth!

19 Weeks!

Ok so really as I type this I am officially 20 weeks pregnant, BUT I am behind on posting this so here is our 19 week photo of the baby bump!  I feel like I'm growing fast and showing so much sooner than I did with Chloe but that's ok I am one of those girls that actually LOVE being pregnant:)  Especially now since I'm starting to feel little kicks!

Mammoth 7/24-7/28

On Tuesday July 24th we flew to Mammoth, CA. Well actually we flew to LA where our flight was cancelled so we drove the last 6 hours to Mammoth.  Clay's aunt and uncle had all of us Hammond's down to their home in Mammoth.  It was absolutely beautiful there!  It took all of us about a day to adjust to the high elevation, as we were over 8000 feet.  Once we adjusted and could breathe normally it was wonderful!  We went on beautiful hikes around the lakes, saw just a portion of Yosemite and rode the gondola to the top of Mammoth Mountain.  We did a lot of swimming at the pool, saw a bear, went to the village for a chili cook off/live band, and just had a really good time.  There was still so much to be seen but we had to fly home on Saturday the 28th.  Chloe was so sad to leave California and the Bilbao family.  She was such a good traveler the whole entire time and it definitely was a great vacation!  I hope we can return someday!

Pioneer Days Parade!

This year for Pioneer Days, Chloe and her friend, Chloe B. wanted to walk in the kiddie parade.  They dressed up as princesses and walked and threw candy.  When they ran out of candy they held hands and waved. They were way too cute!  After that we all watched the main parade and then walked around to the petting zoo and other vendors.  After Chloe took a nap I took her to the pool to swim since she had been asking me daily since the prior Wednesday when I took her.  She had SO much fun and it was great because her friend, Addie was there.  I got to catch up with Addie's mom, Sydney and the girls played and played in the pool.  It was hard getting Chloe out of the pool when it was time to go home. What a fun day!

4th of July

The 4th of July fell on a Wednesday this year which meant going back to work the next day after a late night:(  We went to Hammond's for their annual 4th of July BBQ.  It was a good time with good company - we ate too much, and were able to watch some spectacular fireworks! Chloe a blast playing with Spike - I think she wore him out!  We even talked Chloe into spending the night at Nana and Poppy's since she would be there the next day anyways and could sleep in.  Ok so we didn't really talk her into it - we kind of just left her there.  She cried momentarily but got over it quick and was able to sleep in the next day which was our hope!

Come on Spike!

Lake Ellen Camping 6/29-7/01

Clay and Jesse have gone hunting the last two years up north in the mountains.  Last year they stayed in the snow in our trailer alongside a lake called Lake Ellen.  They said it was beautiful, so we decided to go camping there this year.  We had a fabulous time minus a minor incident and are already looking forward to going back again!  Clay, Chloe and I left on Friday morning and met Jesse, Jill and their doggies, Boozer and Captain, at camp.  There was only two other camp spots taken when we arrived and after the first night the one couple left so then we were there with just one other family.  It was so quiet and peaceful.  Jesse took his dad's little fishing boat so we were able to troll around the little lake in that.  It was gorgeous and we were the only ones on the whole lake - not that it was huge, but still!  There were a whole lot of fish in the lake which made fishing really fun for Chloe.  She casted her line out and reeled in a fish ALL BY HERSELF!  She actually caught a few fish - granted they were small and we let them go, but she had a blast.  We did some walking around and everything else fun that goes along with camping.  The final night we decided to tie the two dogs up and all 5 of us got in the boat for a little evening fishing trip.  When we got back to camp the other campers told us that Boozer had gotten off his leash and was roaming around.  We headed back up to our campsite and saw him - his snout was swollen completely huge on one side.  He was bit by a rattlesnake!  Jill and Jesse had to take him to the vet in Colville, which was not far away.  Boozer was ok thank goodness, but the whole thing about a rattlesnake being near us made me cringe!!  We never did see a snake, and I hope next time we camp at Lake Ellen we don't either!
