Pioneer Days Parade

Last weekend was Pioneer Days.  Grandma was nominated to be the Grand Marshal of the parade so her and Chloe rode in a convertible through the town.  They were 2nd in line of the parade so had plenty of time to come back to our spot and watch the rest of the parade with us.  It was a HOT day but regardless we had such a fun time!  Natalie, Andy and the triplets even made an appearance in the kiddie parade.  They looked SO adorable in the covered wagon that Nat had constructed.  It was cute watching them at their first parade; the girls were waving at all of the floats as they passed by.  And another special treat was that my Uncle Bill, Aunt Merilee and Cousin Danielle came into town from Oregon.  Danielle brought baby Henry who was born 19 days before Layla.  They met for the first time right before the parade and it was too cute watching them together.  So they both experienced their first parade as well!

Water Babies

Last night we took a spur of the moment trip to Porcupine Bay.  We grabbed Subway for dinner and headed down to go swimming.  It has been so hot here (90+) that the water felt SO good!  Chloe LOVES swimming and Layla seemed to enjoy the water too:)  My little water babies!!  It was such a fun night and moments like these just remind me how blessed I am!

Why do bad sleeps always happen on Sunday night?  They both sleep thru the night until bam Sunday night...wonder if they know I will be leaving them in the morning?  Guess I can't complain about being cuddled up between these two for a few hours;) #nosleepformommy #lovemygirls #cuddlebugs

Twin Lakes Camping Trip

WARNING...picture overload;)
We went camping in June with friends at Twin Lakes.  We have never camped there so at first it seemed to be an adventure but then after we got things worked out it was a SUPER fun weekend!  The camp spaces were packed in close and we were in between cabins.  Plus we were in front of summer cabins or peoples houses!  Surprisingly for how closely packed in there we were and all the people it was very quiet at night!  The weather was decent, we had some rain drops but overall it was fine.  It wasn't quite warm enough to do much swimming but instead the kids did a lot of fishing which was fun for all.  It was just so great to hang out with our friends and watch the kids play.  Our Carstensen family friends are moving this summer so this was a great chance for us all to hang out before the big move!  Trey and Chloe got some awesome buddy time - they were inseparable which was so fun and cute to watch!
