spokane interstate fair

We had the best time at the Spokane Interstate Fair this year!  So far our best year yet!  The weather was absolutely perfect!  Usually it's too hot but this year we started out in jackets and eventually took them off as it warmed up.  Aunt Jessi went with us this year which also made it extra fun and special.  The girls LOVED riding the ponies.  I took a lot of pictures on my phone as I forgot my camera this day:(  Darn it!!  So the pictures aren't the best but oh well I still managed to capture some fun moments.  After pony rides we saw the rest of the animals.  Then we ate some yummy fair food and walked around a bit more before going to the rides.  Chloe was all about the rides this year and if Layla had been tall enough she would have done them all too!  SUCH a fun day!!!  Gotta love the Fair!
Face painting + rides = FUN!

Last year in Kindergarten if Chloe read so many books then she got a free ticket to Silverwood.  She accomplished it and so did McCall and McGuire.  We had planned on going in August but when the day came close it was supposed to be over 100 degrees.  TOO HOT!  We put it off and went in the 2nd weekend in September instead.  It was the PERFECT time to go!  The cost for me to get in was half what it would have been in the summer since the water park was closed. AND there was not many people there which meant hardly any lines at all!!  The weather couldn't have been any more perfect either!  When we arrived we headed straight for the cars...

Then the girls went on the helicopters.

The girls waited a really long time for the Ferris Wheel, which turned out to be somewhat scary for Chloe but they did it!

Waiting for the train to arrive!

On the train!

Sheriff Marshall!!

My favorite thing to watch the girls on was these bumper cars - they were laughing so hard!

Then we saw Garfield!

Right after this cute picture was taken McCall decided to see what Garfield's eyes felt like and jumped up and poked his poor eyes out!!!  We were all shocked when she did it and felt bad but then couldn't quit laughing about it.  A little later we heard another mom scolding her daughter for punching Garfield in the stomach.  Poor Garfield was taking a beating!!

Frog ride!

Huge swing!

love their faces in this one!

Log ride!

McCall and I went on this ride together and someone put a quarter in and soaked us.  So when the girls went together McGuire put a quarter in and soaked them!

They thought it was funny at first but right about then was when the park was getting ready to close and it really cooled down.  Then it wasn't so funny - they were cold!

$5 winner winner - Chloe was thrilled with her cheetah

Ice cream for dinner!

Our "we survived" Silverwood picture!  I love it!  Such a fun day!
Get to reading kids - we can't wait to go again next year!

Pinot's Palette

The Sunday following my birthday I got a group of my friends/family together to go to Pinot's Palette to celebrate.  I have been wanting to do this for awhile now and since it was my birthday it was the perfect excuse!  My mom called and reserved a private party so we had the entire place to ourselves which was so fun!  We just had to have 15 people which we ended up having exactly that!  The place is SO cute and fun inside and they have paintings all over the walls.  We brought food for snacks and then you can buy wine or other drinks there.  The theme is "Paint. Drink, Have Fun." We did just that!  Thank you to every one that came I had the best day!!!  All of us went into this thinking that we aren't painters but actually the instruction makes it SO easy and the paintings turned out awesome!! I'm already looking forward to doing this again!

Mom and Sherry being silly!  Love you two!

Here are our painting in progress...

TADA!! They all look similar but different!  Happy trees - I love them!

more instagrams in august

more instagrams in August...
Prayers for our Buggy would be much appreciated!
This morning we got a glimpse of our normal busy Layla.  After sleeping and taking breathing treatments every 2 hours thru the night she was able to get up and walk around.  She is still really croupy but we are trying to span out the next breathing treatment to 3 hours.  All the continued thoughts and prayers are so appreciated!!
We are SO happy to be going HOME this morning!!!  All the prayers worked!  Thank you to everyone that texted, called and sent messages to us the last couple days while we were in the hospital.  Our girl is gonna be OK! And now I'm going home to put her in a bubble;)
