More Instagrams in January

More Instagrams in January...
SO happy to be 2!

Buddies reunited! Fun weekend away starts NOW!

This is a video of Layla counting to 10.  My favorite is when she says "seben" and "I see it" at the end.

Layla Wade XOXO

We have the best babysitter!! Thank you Kyra for taking such good care of our girls always!  They truly love you and have been talking all morning about how much fun they had last night.  This picture you sent me warms my heart!

Look who's been putting pee pee in the potty all day!!  Now we are just waiting for the poo;)

No pee pee accidents since Thursday and now the big poo!  Yay Buggy!
This is a video saying she "poop in toity" so proud of herself.

Throwback Thursday - Glacier National Park

Look what came today in the mail!

Super fun kiwi crate this month!  Let's bake - cakes made out of sponges and clay icing with fun toppings and a chef's hat and apron to decorate!

Layla has been saying "Layla big girl bed" since Chloe got a new bed for Christmas.  Thinking it would take awhile, we told her she could have one when she didn't wear diapers anymore.  No such luck for thinking that - she was potty trained in a matter of days!  Today I took the front rail off her crib and she didn't even try to test me and escape just went to sleep.  Why do our 2nd babies have to grow up even faster than our 1st babies?!

Covered from head to toes in hives and still smiling.
In the last week we have been dealing with colds, stomach bugs and a scary allergic reaction which has reminded me of this great quote...You will never have this day with your children again.  Tomorrow, they will be a little older then they were today.  This day is a gift, breathe and notice, smell and touch them; study their face and little feet and pay attention.  Relish the charms of the present.  Enjoy today, it will be over before you know it. - Jen Hatmaker
Awesome seats last night at the Eric Church concert!

It's been months and months, maybe even a year since she has slept on my chest.
I am sure cherishing this moment with my baby!

swim lessons

Chloe started swim lessons at the Base again this year in January.  She is again loving them and what's even more awesome is she is the only one in her class!  It's like having private lessons!  The first Saturday lesson daddy went and I missed it but here are pictures from Saturday #2!

Photo A Day in January

The PHOTO A DAY format is different this year.  I don't like different in this case but I always love how my monthly collages turn out so I am going to keep on doing them.
Here we go - PHOTO A DAY 2015.

 1. the sky (She threw her arms up to "the sky" happy and excited to turn 2!)
2. something yellow (A Bath and Body Works bag next to a happy girl in a hotel bed.)
 3. me today (Enjoying wine tasting with a kindergarten bestie while the dads are with the babes.)
 4. I hear...(Silence.  "But mommy I don't need a nap, I'm not tired." Asleep in 5 minutes tired I call that!)

Potty Trained!

My baby is officially POTTY TRAINED!!  It was miraculously EASY!  January 14th was a Wednesday and we had got the potty out and had it sitting in the living room. Mostly we had just been talking it up a bunch but that night when Chloe was at Awanas and I was at Zumba daddy got her to go!  She was running around naked getting ready for pajamas when she started telling daddy "diaper on!" "diaper on!" He knew then she had to go so he put her on the potty and she went a tiny bit!  It was enough to make her realize what she was "supposed" to do!  The next day she was with Nana and went on the potty ALL day!  She would just say "nana potty" and off she went!  I am still shocked at how easy and bribe free it has been.  Going poop on the potty did take an extra day or 2 to figure out but once she did that she has been accident free since!  We still put diapers on at nighttime just because it is so many hours but nap it's just panties!  Since Chloe got a new bed for Christmas, Layla has been asking for a big girl bed.  So thinking it would take awhile we promised as soon as she was potty trained she could get one. I was not ready for my baby to be out of her crib! Welp I thought wrong and we hit another milestone this month.  I took the front railing off the crib.  Thinking it would be a DISASTER she again proved me wrong and has stayed in her bed like a big girl at both naptimes and bedtime.  UGH Layla Wade STOP growing up SO FAST!!!  We are all so proud of you! Just know you are still mommy's baby!! XOXO
